ECE 311 - Early Years Foreign Language Education

The primary focus of this course is to provide awareness about the importance of learning a foreign language at an early age, introduce teaching methods and techniques (drama, games, music, art, story reading, thinking skills, family participation) and materials suitable for the age and developmental characteristics of preschool children by combining the disciplines of Early Childhood Education and English Language Education, educate students to support preschoolers' foreign language learning processes and to communicate with children in a different language, provide knowledge and skills about preparing appropriate learning environments and teaching materials and evaluating children's development and learning in a foreign language.
