Course Objective

The aim of this course is to educate pre-service teachers as constructive, creative and productive individuals who are sensitive and healthy in character, mind, morality, soul and emotion and have a personality and character that is sensitive and sensitive to artistic elements such as rhythm and dance.

Course Content

To teach technical dance, rhythm, body percussion, choreography concepts in order to combine rhythm and dance concepts with activities and games for children. Study of body percussion and creative dance works. Creative rhythm improvisations with the Orff method included in the teaching process.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Explains the relationship between body language and dance figures.
  2. Distinguish different rhythmic structures and their strokes.
  3. Uses body language in rhythmic movements and dance.
  4. Analyze the importance of rhythm knowledge and skill for the development of preschool children.
  5. Evaluates the suitability of the rhythmic dance choreographies with the songs intended for pre-school children.
  6. For the songs appropriate to the age and development of the preschooler, by improvisation, creative dance figures are formed.
