Course Objective

The aim of this course is to introduce the Turkish family structure and culture to students.

Course Content

Turkish family structure, culture; child rearing styles, child rearing in different Turkish states, family culture in Anatolia, Anatolian customs and traditions, family types, large family and interaction with nuclear family.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Knows the Turkish family structure and culture.
  2. He knows different family types and the location of the child in these families.
  3. Learns and applies the roles and tasks of teacher in cultural transmission.
