ELT 009 - Drama in Teaching English

Course Objective

The purpose of this course is to ensure that teacher candidates learn the basic principles and practical application of drama and the TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) method in foreign language instruction. Within the scope of the course, students are expected to identify the basic techniques of TPRS, develop their skills in teaching the target language through storytelling, gestures, facial expressions, improvisation, and classroom interaction, and apply the techniques they have learned in drama activities designed for students of different ages and language proficiency levels.
