There will be no written final or midterm exams for the course evaluation. Instead, the evaluation will be based on the following criteria.
50% Final:
Students prepare an educational drama. This drama consists of three stages, which are evaluated as follows out of 100 points.
Message of the Prepared Drama and Ability to Convey the Message: 50 p; Student's Diction/Use of Local-Cultural Dialect: 10 p; Student's Stage Presence-Performance: 20 p; Student's Use of Gestures and Facial Expressions: 20 p.
B. 25% Midterm Exam
The student attends at least two professional theater performances (city theaters and state theaters) and completes the following reports and observations
I. Names of the plays attended, Venue/Date, Subject of the plays (3-5 sentences), Photos of the tickets, Photo showing the student at the theater, My Thoughts on the Plays I Watched 10%
II. My observations about the actors: - Use of voice, - Use of gestures and facial expressions, - Use of body language, - Communication with other actors. (10 points)
III. I'm glad I watched this play (I wish I hadn't watched this play): %5
will be evaluated according to the above criteria.
15% is based on the student's actual attendance in classes
10% is based on the student's performance and contribution to each class instead of homework.
