Course Objective
This course aims to introduce students to the field of sociology. Students who successfully complete the course will learn to examine the main issues and concepts of sociology such as society, social institutions, culture, socialization, stratification, urbanization, globalization at the introductory level and will enter to understand human-society relations.

The content of this course includes the emergence of sociology, whether sociology is a science, the perspectives of sociology, its basic issues and concepts.
