ISL 461 - Business Simulation

Course Objective

The aims of the course are to provide students with the opportunity to tackle complex business situations in an experiential fashion and to enable the transfer of knowledge and skills gained from their university education back to a Strategy simulation.

Course Content

During the course, students will initiate team working and develop skills towards collaboration, use strategic management tools in a simulated environment, and develop writing and presentation skills. In addition to lectures, exercises, and the simulation, students will have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with professionals from various sectors, to discuss current issues in business life

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. To learn why different functions in the organizations need to be integrated,
  2. To experience and understand how competition effects business decisions
  3. To transfer their knowledge and skills gained from their university education back to a Strategy simulation
  4. To develop teamwork skills, both in a virtual setting and a face-to-face environment,
  5. Further develop their capabilities towards analyzing data, writing reports, and making presentations.
