Course Objective

I. To train engineers and business administration graduates who have adopted the necessity of using developing production planning techniques and can adapt to this.

II. To provide the ability to plan production in order to achieve economic production.

III. To train engineers  and business administration graduates who can make conscious applications about stock management.

Production Management and General Concepts, Production Systems, Market Research and Demand Forecasts, Production Process Design and Manufacturing/Purchasing Decisions, Capacity Planning and Selection, Layout Design, Production Planning and Scheduling, Job Sequencing and Scheduling, Cell Type Manufacturing, Inventory Management..

  1. Classifies production systems, understands basic concepts related to production and management of these systems.
  2. Estimates future demands by considering past demands.
  3. Makes process design and purchasing or production decisions.
  4. Makes capacity planning and selection.
  5. Designs layout according to the sequence flow straight line method.
  6. Makes production planning and scheduling.
  7. Makes job sequencing and production scheduling.
  8. Understands cell type manufacturing and creation methods and creates manufacturing cells.
  9. Understands and applies inventory management calculation methods.
