Course Objective

The aim of this course is to enable students to understand important macroeconomic issues such as economic growth, unemployment and inflation by explaining more advanced concepts and models in macroeconomic analysis.

Course Content

This course aims to provide students with an in-depth understanding of economic growth theories, macroeconomic issues such as unemployment and inflation. It also teaches basic tools used in national income calculations and assessing the overall performance of the economy. Issues such as monetary policy, fiscal policy and international economy are also examined and discussions are held on the economic consequences of these policies.

Course Learning Outcomes

  1. Developing the ability to identify and explain macroeconomic problems such as economic growth, unemployment and inflation by analyzing macroeconomic models.
  2. Gaining the ability to understand and apply national income calculations and methods of measuring the general performance of the economy.
  3. Gaining the ability to evaluate the effects of economic policy tools by understanding the relationship between monetary policy and fiscal policy.
  4. Developing the ability to understand the basic concepts of international economics and the advantages and disadvantages of economic integration.
  5. Gaining the ability to analyze economic events and evaluate the effects of economic policies by critically evaluating macroeconomic theories.
