Course Objective
This course aims to address the phenomenon of globalization in its historical, economic, political and socio-cultural dimensions. Students will be provided with basic information about the important actors, mechanisms and effects of globalization, and the effects of globalization, especially on economy, politics and society, will be analyzed.
Course Content
The course will cover topics such as the historical development of the globalization process, its economic and political effects, the role of multinational corporations and international economic organizations, global income distribution, globalization of labor, financial markets and technological developments. In addition, the effects of globalization on sustainable development, environmental policies and social structures will be discussed.
