Course Objective

The main objective of the course is to teach the students both the theory and practice of the transactions carried out by exporters and importers in the implementation phase of foreign trade.

Course Content

The theory of the related subjects will be explained and then the theoretical knowledge will be reinforced with in-class applications. In export applications, students will be given theoretical and practical information on export sales price determination, proforma invoice, commercial invoice, check/packing list and policy issuance. In import applications, the focus will be on opening procedures related to letters of credit, opening text and document examination.
