Course Objective

The aims of this course are; To introduce the place where participation banking has come from from the past to the present, to draw a vision about its future, to give information about the place of participation banking in our country, to teach the basic principles of interest-free finance, to examine the issues that distinguish participation banks from conventional banking, to introduce fund collection and fund-raising methods of participation banks, and to introduce interest-free methods on a global basis.

Course Content

Within the scope of the course; history, problems and current situation of participation banking in the world and in Turkey, Turkish banking system and its functioning, interest-free finance and participation banking in Turkey, fund collection and fund utilization methods of participation banks, interest-free banking in Turkey and in the world in figures, introduction of TKBB and participation banks, sukuk, tawarruq and alternative fund collection methods in participation banks.
