Dersin Amacı

Öğrenciler bol ve çeşitli okuma yaparak akıcı okuma becerisini  ve az miktarda okuma parçasını yavaş ve yoğun okuma pratiğiyle eleştirel okumayı öğreneceklerdir. Bu okumalar, masallardan, kısa hikayeye, dramadan, filme kadar geniş bir alanı kapsamaktadır.

Ders İçeriği

  1. Improve Reading Comprehension:

    • Develop the ability to understand, interpret, and analyze complex texts.

    • Enhance skills such as skimming, scanning, inference, and critical reading.

  2. Foster Critical Thinking:

    • Encourage students to analyze themes, characters, and narrative techniques in both literature and film.

    • Compare and contrast written texts with their film adaptations to identify differences in storytelling and interpretation.

  3. Enhance Analytical Writing Skills:

    • Practice writing reflective essays, comparative analyses, and character studies.

    • Develop the ability to articulate insights and arguments clearly and persuasively.

  4. Expand Vocabulary and Language Proficiency:

    • Exposure to rich literary language and dialogue in films to improve vocabulary and fluency.

    • Practice using new vocabulary in discussions and written assignments.

  5. Introduce Film Analysis:

    • Learn the basics of visual storytelling, including cinematography, mise-en-scène, and editing.

    • Understand how films adapt and interpret literary works.

  6. Promote Cultural and Historical Awareness:

    • Explore the historical and social contexts of the literature and films studied.

    • Discuss how these works reflect or critique societal issues.

  7. Encourage Collaborative Learning:

    • Participate in group discussions and peer reviews to share perspectives and insights.

    • Develop teamwork and communication skills through collaborative projects.
