Students will examine the rise of non-violence, and its various concepts and strategies through specific case studies that include Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, Nelson Mandela, Gene Sharpe, Jawdat Said, Japanese Pacifism, ICAN (International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons).
